MLB Memory: The Cincinnati Reds’ Big Red Machine

Everyday I click on my favorite bookmark – On This Day in Sports.

And, this morning I learned…

“In 1977, the Cincinnati Reds romped to a 23-9 victory over the Braves in Atlanta. The Reds tied a National League record by scoring 12 runs in the fifth inning off three Braves pitchers. George Foster had seven RBIs, five runs scored, two home runs, a double and a single.”

Today’s April 25th trip down MLB memory lane led me to pen this blog on baseball’s Big Red Machine – one of the most dominant teams in the history of the sport.
