I agree with CBS Sports’ Verne Lundquist.
The chubby-cheeked announcer recently commented that ESPN’s Dick Vitale is an acquired taste. His remark caused a brouhaha in the college basketball broadcast booth.
The normally laid-back Lundquist caught many sports fans off-guard when sharing his views on Vitale with The Sports Business Journal. His surprising words come on the cusp of CBS Sports launching its celebrated March Madness coverage.
Yet, few college basketball fans will challenge Lundquist. If they’re like me, they will probably applaud Vern for vocalizing his opinion.Continue reading
